Urban Yogi - Page 1

Thought id as well start off with my online comic right away.. I'm using a comparatively simpler, relatively less time-consuming, non-smooth style for this one as it has to go on along with my main graphic novel. So here is your first glimpse of Zid, the rock-star turned urban yogi turned…hey wait!!!..thtz saying it all out a lil too soon… :).. Will be uploading a few pages here till the website is launched, and then you can continue reading directly from my comic site.

Bobbie and I

Today I had a trip down La Rue Nostalgia… When I was a lil kid I used to frequent this hill that my dad had inherited, and my frequent companion during these trips was Bobbie, my Granpa’s Daschunt. Bobbie was a whole 7 months elder to me and was more like a protective elder sister to me. We used to spend hours together watching birds.. Ye, u heard right.. Bobbie used to love watching em as much as I did..coz everytime a swallow flew by, her head would follow it..Gone is our lil hill now and so is She. Dad had to sell off the hill to raise money to purchase some plot in the city (DARN!!) and They sent Bobbie to “the happy farm” when I was about 10 yrs old. But the memories still live. So today’s piece of art is dedicated to Both my childhood and my very first friend… Bobbie, I still love you and I will always do

Hello Ladybug!

Thought I’d take a couple o hours’ break frm sketching noir and gore and go completely off-beat with this quickie. I dedicate this one to the lil girl whose gallery I came across in DA I tried to imagine what her childhood wouldda been like a few years back.. running around with her camera taking photographs of lil creatures and places..tried to imagine the inquisitiveness in her eyes with which she had been exploring the world around her..and voila!! .. had a lot o fun making this one!
